YOUR RESPONSIBILITY:

It is your responsibility to maintain the puppy's health condition, vaccinations, heart worm and flea/tick prevention to ensure good health. It is YOUR responsibility to protect your puppy from exposure to Parvo. We go OUT OF OUR WAY to protect our dogs and puppies from this deadly virus, but once they leave our home it becomes your responsibility. Parvo is transferred via feces and lives in the ground. It is highly contagious so please avoid rest areas, dog parks, service stations, or anywhere else infected dogs may have defecated until your puppy has had all his/her required vaccinations.

HEALTH GUARANTEE:

Buyer must have puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian WITHIN 72 HOURS of time of pickup or delivery, or guarantee is not applicable for parvo or any other infectious illness or disease. If upon this examination, the puppy is other than healthy, you should contact the breeder as soon as possible and the puppy could possibly be returned to the breeder immediately, and the purchase price will be refunded or the puppy can be replaced, whichever the buyer prefers. (Breeder has the right  to ask for a 2nd opinion by a licensed Vet before refund/replacement)   Minor problems such as diarrhea, coccidiosis, wormy stool, intestinal parasites, etc. are common problems among puppies and will not be covered by this warranty. Every effort is made to sell puppies free of these problems, including maintaining a clean living environment. The puppy is guaranteed until one year of age against genetic/congenital defects that could affect the puppy's quality of life.

We, the breeder, are not responsible for vet bills once the puppy leaves our care. We do not assume any liability for any injury or illness the puppy experiences once he/she leaves our care.  A puppy contract/health guarantee will be provided when you pick up your puppy.

If you have never owned a Jack Russell before PLEASE research the breed. This fantastic, amazing little dog is not for everyone. A Jack Russell is a 15-19 year commitment. They are a real joy and a loving, loyal companion; however, they are a hands-on, active, strong-willed breed that require your loving but strong committed leadership in their lives. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call.

We reserve the right to refuse to sell a puppy to anyone we feel is not a good match for a Jack Russell Terrier or anyone we are uncomfortable about our puppies going home with for the safety and well being of the puppy.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY:

All puppies are sold with registration application papers, health record, puppy care instructions & health guarantee.  All puppies will have their tails docked & dew claws removed at 3 days old. Puppies will be wormed every 2 weeks until they reach 8 weeks of age. Their nails will be clipped every 2 weeks as well.  Each puppy will receive their first vaccination between 7 - 8 weeks of age.  We will continue the vaccinations as per our Vet's requirements as long as the puppy is in our care. We provide everything possible to produce a healthy, sound puppy by raising the puppy the best possible way in regards to diet, exercise, socialization, and health care.

We CANNOT guarantee the puppy's legs, ears, nose pigment, coat type or color, height or weight  at maturity.

OUR COMMITMENT:

We realize that life happens. If there ever comes a time that you are unable to keep this dog and do not have a loving family to give him/her to please return the dog to us along with registration papers and current health/vaccination records. We will re-home him/her with a loving family.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT ONE OF OUR DOGS IN A SHELTER - RETURN THEM TO US SO THAT WE CAN FIND A LOVING HOME FOR THEM.
DEPOSIT:

We require a $300 non-refundable deposit to reserve a puppy. This deposit is deducted from the price of the puppy.

This deposit is your guarantee that we will not place the puppy of your choice with someone else. This deposit is also our guarantee that you will be purchasing the puppy you specified when you placed your deposit. When you place a deposit, we take that puppy off the available list. PLEASE be certain you want the puppy before you place a deposit.  Deposits are NOT refundable.

*** Goswick Shorty Jacks has the right to first pick on any litter whenever necessary for the benefit of our breeding program. This does not happen very often. When it is necessary to keep a puppy for our program, those who have their names on that litter's waiting list will be moved down one spot. We try to reserve 1st pick prior to announcing the litter, but sometimes the unexpected happens. ***

WAIT LIST / FIRST PICK REQUIREMENTS:

As of Nov. 1, 2023 - If you wish to wait for one of my puppies you can be added to my waiting list.

I only allow 15 names at any given time. Puppies are chosen in the order on the list.  No exceptions. If you choose to pass on your turn, you retain your place in line for the next litter.  We almost always have several people waiting to choose a puppy. Therefore, if you are first on the list to pick a puppy, you MUST choose your puppy within 3 days of birth. Subsequent picks have 24 hours.

PAYMENT:

We accept Venmo, Cash & personal checks made out to Kelly Goswick.  We also accept Credit/Debit cards via PayPal. If paying by check or PayPal, the puppy must be paid for in full BEFORE  6 weeks old.

Full payment is required before your puppy can leave.

You will be notified when your puppy will be ready to go to his/her new home. This is usually 8 weeks of age. Arrangements to pick up or have your puppy delivered MUST be made before your puppy turns 8 weeks old.
If your puppy is to remain in our care longer than 7 days after the puppy turns 8 weeks old, there will be a $25 per week boarding charge added to the cost of your puppy.
** If we do not hear from you and arrangements are not made within 7 days of notifying you that your puppy is ready, we will assume you no longer want the puppy and it will be sold to someone else and any deposits or payments  you made are NOT refundable.

SHIPPING / DELIVERY:

HAND DELIVERY: I offer to deliver up to 100 miles one way for a flat fee of $75.

FLIGHT NANNY: I DO NOT ship my puppies. I use a Flight Nanny to deliver my puppies via air instead. The cost for this service is payable to them. They fly your puppy to you keeping the puppy with them at all times. They keep in contact with you and myself the entire trip. The puppy must be paid for in full by 6 weeks old if using a flight nanny. (Puppies delivered to Alaska have additional charges and requirements. Puppies delivered to Hawaii must be at least 12 weeks old and will have additional charges and requirements.) PLEASE NOTE:  The flight nanny will coordinate their schedule with you and you pay them directly.
